The date is August 1st, I’ve opened my iTunes (yes, I’m old school like that) in preparation to style and photograph a makeup editorial for SL20. What should I do? What is my inspiration? Did I turn the oven off? Then it hits me - there it is! It’s the answer to all my questions, with the exception of the latter. Adam Lambert’s artwork for his debut album ‘For Your Entertainment’. The cover is the embodiment of 2009’s obsession with the campy, glam rock aesthetic of the eighties. An aesthetic that speaks to my eternally nostalgic soul.

Heavy handed neon blushes and smoked out eyes with a splash of glitter, that’s what I want to see. On everyone. At all times. With the assistance of some of my favorite Second Life makeup brands, Keikumu, Jack Spoon, and Dotty’s Secret to name the heavy hitters for this shoot, I created three specific looks that expand beyond the realm of gender while reflecting moments of the past.
